Afrodita Shop

Define your own meaning of beauty

Here at Afrodita, my aim is to guide every one of you onto the right path when it comes down to your beautiful natural hair’s health. I would like to dispose of the concept that our natural hair is ‘unprofessional’ or ‘nappy’.
To achieve this and to help our hair flourish, my unique products have been thoroughly tested and reviewed by people with different hair types and textures until I found the best formula. Every one of my products aims to use a 100% natural ingredients meaning no sulphates, harmful fragrances or harsh parabens as my objective is heathy hair. All my accomplishments at Afrodita are carried out with much thought; from the sourcing of my natural ingredients to the packaging and even the message I want to send to my loyal customers. I personally develop every one of my products for delivery to maximise freshness and effectiveness. At Afrodita I am continuously researching and improving my formuli to ensure all products are best for every hair texture, density and porosity.

My name is Denise Lawrence and I am the CEO of Afrodita. As a child I did not have the best knowledge of hair, however as I neared my teenage years I began to create a vast majority of my hair products at home; from hair masks to leave in conditioners and I began to find the science behind our hair extremely intriguing. Growing up around many entrepreneurs encouraged me to do some research on starting a business and slowly my interest in the Natural Hair Movement began to increase. This love for our natural hair was accompanied by the fact that being natural was not cheap and even some of the most expensive products did not have my hairs best interest at heart. Therefore, come and explore a site made for you and your distinctive hair; there is something for everyone you just need too trust yourself.

Embrace your curls, coils and kinks and contradict the stereotypes.

Porosity refers to how well your hair is able to absorb and hold moisture. It is affected by the flexible outer hair layer called the cuticle, which determines how easily moisture and oils pass in and out of your hair.

Hair density is the number of strands on your head, it determines how thick or thin it is. To figure out the density, look at your hair in its natural state and determine if you can see your scalp.
